Leh Ladakh is one of the prime destinations in India for a Bike tour. It is very common to take a Leh Ladakh trip on bike. There are two routes to reach Leh Ladakh via bike. One route is through the Srinagar Leh highway and the other is Manali Leh highway. The distance covered when travelling from Srinagar to Leh is 434 Km and from Manali to Leh is 490 Km. The Srinagar Leh highway gets opened from May to October. Whereas the Manali Leh highway is open through May to September.

  • By Bus

There are two routes by which one can travel to Leh Ladakh via bus. One route is from Srinagar passing through Zoji La Pass and another route is from Manali passing through Rohtang pass. Both Private and government buses run on both the routes on a regular bus. There is a bus from New Delhi also which covers a distance of 1.203 Kms in a minimum 4 days time to reach Leh Ladakh.

  • By Air

The closest airport is Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh. The airport is well connected to major cities of the country like Delhi, Srinagar, and Jammu ( few to mention). The airport is a military terminal, so it is mandatory to carry all the necessary documents as well as the print out of e-ticket. One can avail taxis outside the airport to reach the required destination.

  • By Train

The nearest railway station is in Tawi, Jammu. The distance between the Tawi’s railway station to Ladakh is 700 Km. The railway station is well connected to major cities of the country. One can take a taxi from the railway station to reach Leh. The minimum duration required to reach Ladakh from Tawi’s railway station is 2 days. This is the least preferred method used to reach Ladakh.
